Ocular Migraine

There is a painting of a ship behind the glass, covered by fish scales. The colors are cool and comforting, contrary to what the title suggests.  It is inspired by the artist’s frequent ocular migraines, which cause her vision to warp in certain spaces within her frame of vision.  Her migraines cause her to see shooting stars that curl rather than stream across her line of vision.  From this discomfort she finds an expression of the theme of paradox common in much of her work.
