Cool colors melt together around the image of a couch, an every day image of fascination in the artist’s eye.  The artist finds herself drawing and painting couches often, they are reminiscent of rest and quiet communion with the Creator.  Flowers surround the couch and adjacent lamp stand as if taken up by an autumn wind.  The choice of colors speaks to creationist themes common throughout the exhibit – greens and yellows leading into a floor of abstract and soluble shapes.
